So Bush is proud of himself because he “did not sell his soul” and is “leaving with the same set of values” that he came to Washington with. Geez, I wonder what those values are?
Spend till you are broke and then keep borrowing. Torture people who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Appoint friends to positions that they are totally incompetent for. Keep lying to your country about the reasons and costs for the War.
The only reason he could not sell his soul was that it was already sold by the time he reached Washington. Evidently, he still thinks he hasn’t made any mistakes in his 8 years, nor does he realize how big of a wreck he is leaving behind.

How can you possibly sell something that you do not have. I think that it was fine when the American people thought he was a hero and he was winning the war in Iraq. However, to make statements like these when the economy is worse than it has ever been, we are fighting debt and two wars that he started is amazing to me . I think he is just delusional or pretends to be so he doesn’t have to think about the last 8 years.
In addition, he attempted to push federal regulations for anything from contaminated drinking water to working 12 hour days without benefits. That is the “same set of values” he came in with. The Congressional Act of 1996 which was a law giving congress the power to review or overturn any legislation or reg issued by the president within a 60 day period ironically passed by republicans will hopefully put an end to his legacy.
What comes around goes around … and President Bush even after his tenure is over has a lot of karmic lessons coming to him.
